imo, FoW is a little boring. Make a little bit more money, and equip your main character with Torment gear

Shield + Axe/Sword would be pretty cool

I just spent a large amount of my cash on 2 Torment Items. Shield for my war and daggers for my collection.

I'm now having more fun trying to get some funds back

Hold contests! Better yet, go to Ascalon City and donate to the beggars. There always tons of them there. I give back to the GW community in the form of helping people with Ruins of Surmia at least once a week. I'm poor so my philantropy is more hands on.

Also, is your guild hall fully kitted out?
Do all your characters have your ideal equip?
What about guildies?

buy all the armour sets you want for your chars i.e. fow armour
collect perfect weapons although 2 mil wont go that far

First off, I highly doubt anything will transfer over to GW2, especially gold -- of course I could always be wrong, but I doubt it.

Now, back to your question... hold giveaway contests, give handouts to low level characters that aren't begging for it, or if that doesn't suit you I would gladly put it toward some armor sets I've been wanting.

Alternatively, you could try turning off your computer and:
A) Go outside
B) Volunteer/get a job
C) Spend more time with friends/family

I don't think anyone else has mentioned this, but at this point GW2 is nothing but rumour, and even if it does prove to be true, the rumour stated that it wouldn't be out until 2010. You have a few more years of Guild Wars yet.

But if you're bored make some new characters, try a class you haven't used before. If you really think you're finished with Guild Wars then give it a rest for a while, Chapter 4 should be out shortly and I'm sure it'll have something to keep you occupied.

Give it to charity. E-mail ArenaNet support and ask them to donate some money to Comic Relief for the sacrifice of some of your wealth. I'd love to see how they respond.

i am in the same situation as OP, 7 sets of FoW, 500ectos, 800k in cash, tons rares(stygian reavers, colossal,torment,etc etc) but i am glad i find a way to play even more GW: GvG and HA. since a month ago, i HA with friends regularly everyday, and yea, it is alot more fun, try it out man

Well, like many long time players you can get burned out of playing any MMO. Like me I took a break from GW but in the event lost out on a few items like the first dragon mask and 1st Halloween and Christmas festival because that is when I took my break, but I dont feel any loses and was a great refresh for me because the new expansion was soon to come out and there was new content to enjoy once again.

Sometimes you have to step away from a game and then make your choice if you want to play or not since this is a free to play game you can basically hold onto your items/gold if you like or give them away once again your choice.

Take a break. I gave away all of my stuff and left June '06, about 5 months (No GW, No other games) later I came back and everything was WAY different, better than before. It was a great refresh and I had fun earning my gold back.

If you are really bored, give away your account. Uninstall Guild Wars. Pick up a new game or try something different.
